Earlier this year, a popular online magazine came out with a blog post stating that they no longer supported feeding coconut oil to dogs and they referenced "recent" studies to support their changed stance. This is a website that is an authority in the dog lover community and previously promoted the use of coconut oil on dogs and in their diet for years.
In looking at the studies they referenced, I found one thing that they got wrong that completely changes the narrative. I may not be a scientist, veterinarian, or nutritionist, but I can read and the studies they referenced weren't about the coconut oil they previously promoted.
